Top tips

Brian:

These days I’m more selective about what I download. If I do download something, I make sure I know everything about it and where its from. And if I ever get an email and I don’t know who the sender is, I just delete it... most of the time it’s junk anyway.

Lauren:

No matter how close I am with someone, I’ll never share my username and password with them. That’s private information that only I need to know.

Jeremy:

I never tell someone my personal details, you know unless they’re a good mate or something. I mean, you wouldn’t tell someone on the street that sort of information, so why would you do it online? There’s really no difference.

Sarah:

Yeah, I’m extra careful now not to put too many of my personal details on the internet. I’ve realised the internet is just another public place and I’m cautious not to reveal too much about my personal life or my habits that could help someone to track me down.

Brian:

If it’s free there’s usually a catch. I guess I learnt the hard way.

Lauren:

You just can’t tell what might happen if your details end up in the wrong hands. Now, I don’t take the risk.

Jeremy:

You never really know who you might be chatting to. These days, I know better.

Sarah:

You just don’t know what types of people are out there reading stuff about you. I’m just so much more careful now.
